Accommodation Oughterard, Connemara

The emphasis at Currarevagh Country House is on escaping the hectic, commercialised world and unwinding in a breath-taking, tranquil setting.
 
Downstairs on the ground floor there is plenty of space; a large, light filled drawing room; the front hall with lots of seating and bar billiard table; our hatch bar dating from 1890; and the library also.  
 
Accommodation is comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms, evening turn down service and hot water bottles when the wind howls outside. Double Beds are Superking size or twin bedded as requested, and we also have two King size bedded rooms for the lone traveller not wanting to pay single supplements.
 
Please note that Currarevagh is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
 
 
Bedrooms
We have nine bedrooms, all on the first floor, each with its own distinctive decor and character. All are individually furnished and include many period pieces. The views are either to the gardens or Benlevy Mountain. All double bedded rooms have Super King Size beds, being 200cm wide, and we also have twin bedded rooms available. All rooms are of course ensuite with toiletries provided, hairdryer in each room and an evening turn down service is provided.
 
In keeping with the character of the house, we do not have televisions in the bedrooms. There is however a television in the study downstairs which has over 400 channels, including all major sporting channels. WiFi, with no charge, is available in the public areas of the house. Please note there is no option for extra beds in bedrooms and we are not suitable for children under 12 years old. Bedrooms are provided with our own spring water and fresh flowers. Many guests remark on the absolute peace and quiet.
